What I had Mac LH's Mac o/r H, flowermaster mufflers that did a 360 inside and came out the side in to a Roush tip. The muffler blow apart, to much power flowermaster said because it had to do a 360 turn. I had it on the car for like ten years though, plus they do not make that muffler anymore.
So last summer I still wanted the side exhaust but you do not have the length to run a muffler and come out the side with a normal muffler like we are all used to with an h pipe. So what I did, I have the Mac LH's, 4" of pipe and flowermasters outlaw racing muffler, about 24" of pipe, then a resonator and then the Roush tip. It's crazy loud, It sounds like a Ac cobra kit car. It makes my ears bleed loud. I can't hear the sc or anything. You can hear the her from over 1 mile away when I'm on it!! Pretty much sounds like open headers. Sounds fine at light throttle. Anyway the mufflers are where the stock cats go. So Is there a baffled muffler out there that is small and round to fit in that space and that will quiet it down some. Not shore even running the a muffler that close to the headers is a good idea and no having a mid pipe.
Other option, Go and buy a Mac o/r prochamber with there Mac dumps exhaust. Keep the side exhaust skirt and tip for now. I do not have my old side skirts and the cobra ones are crazy money now for used once that need to be painted.
Any input would be great.
