Looking at a 91 online and need some advice/things to look for before I grab it. It’s gonna be aight unseen as it’s in Cali and I’m in Texas.

Car is a factory 5.0 and, from what the owner says hasn’t ever been modded. It’s been repainted by ford last year.

Here are some pics.

Thanks.

I would suggest getting as many pictures as possible. Pictures can still hide a lot. Also get a walk around video, and video of it running.

I bought a 90 coupe from a member on here last May, sight unseen.

Have a walk around and everything sounds/looks good.

How do the strut towers and torque boxes look to you guys?

I don’t mind having a project. That’s kinda the point really. I just want to make sure it’s a good car to start with.

Rims arent stock, front grill isnt stock, and im not expert a few things don't seem to line up properly. Leading me to think its be in a possible minor wreck. Not sure what your actual plans are but these are things you may want to look into farther.

What’s not lining up? I know they are cobra rims, I’d go with something else and sell those. Redo suspension and 5 lug convert it.

A video of it actually driving is nice to have so you can hear hopefully hear anything that's out of place. Usually when I'm selling a car, I'll have a Carfax (I know reports aren't always 100%) ready to provide, too, to ease the buyer's worries.

If/when you're serious about buying, there are people who will go check it out top to bottom for usually a very reasonable price and take pics, videos, tests, etc.

Get a video while driving the car too. Listen for noise.
