haven't run the 1/4, but heard guys saying that with the 3.73's you can do either. it's i guess at around 7000 rpm in 3rd. honestly dude, i would go with 4.10's. i'm really not happy with my 3.73's. and if you plan to keep modding your cobra, you'll keep getting faster and even with 3.73's you'll have to shift into 4th eventually. go with 4.10's. my guess is that they will make 4th gear a pretty good gear anyway.
Aww come on Mike, you know you want the 4.10's..
I have 3.73's in my 5.0 and they are great, I'm sure the 4.10's will be kick a$$ on a mod motor that revs to the moon.
The 3.73's are great on my 5.0 and my mileage didn't change at all when I changed gears. I say go for the gusto and get 4.10's.
well do what they said, but keep in mind your overall goal for the car, it would suck if ya had to do a gear swap again. I'd say 4.10 or 4.30 for a street driven N/A car, and 3.73's on a blown or No2 car. for steet abillities sake. 4.56's for an all out NA drag car!
I have 3.73 gears in my car. When I get to the end of the 1/4 mile the rpm will be about 7000. Also when shifting gear before the 1/4 is around 6500 - 6800 rpm. I hope this may help. Eric 97
