Need help with new Harmonic Balancer

Ok, I have never had an issue installing a harmonic balancer on a car before. Just bought a new SFI rated balancer from Summit last week. Read all the directions on it and they stated I should boil it in water for about 15 minutes prior to install to make the install easier. So I boiled it and tried installing it. I have yet to get this thing to go on all the way. It will slide on up to just shy of the key and thats it. I know it doesn't get to the key because I can spin the balancer. Any ideas on how to get this thing on? I don't have an installer tool, but can get one if needed. My stock one goes on without any issues.

edit: Forgot to say the car is a 1987 5.0

Maybe your harmonic balancer installer sux.

Don't have one. Never had the need for one.... Is there one thats better than the other?
