Well I'm not a watch guy since I guess highschool. I stopped wearing them because of the metal bands pulling my hair and honestly I just never liked metal bands. Here recently I got a huge promotion at work that has be behind a desk and a lead member so I feel I need to dress the part. (Plus I like leather band watches as it turns out)

My dress attire is nothing major, no suit or anything. But a nice polo and some dress pants with shoes. I mainly wear black/gray and next to never brown. I'm basically torn on a black face or white face. I don't want to go overboard but I don't want it to look plain.

I found this company and REALLY like the look of their watches. I especially like when the second hand doesn't end where the hands meet but instead protrudes past and has a circle or emblem on the other side like this.

But here is two of the companies I'm looking at currently.

not at my post...
I like dive and chrono watches with black rubber straps, or nato bands. I don’t care for steel bracelets either. You can find some nice daily’s with swiss movement in your price range.

Hamilton is difficult to beat for your specific price range. Especially so when looking at a quality pre-owner piece.

If you invest in a Rolex it will last you the rest of your life. You don't need a watch to know the time, a good watch makes a statement of your success.

This.

I recently picked up a lightly used, basically Brand new Hamilton Automatic Khaki. I love it. Classy and understated watch that I wear everyday to my business casual job.

OP, join Watch U Seek and look in the private party for sale section. You can get Swiss/well made watches that are gently used for your price range. Not only Hamilton but Oris, Seiko, U-Boat, Deep Blue, Steinhart and Glycine.

Magrette is also a smaller company who makes quality time pieces.

Look harder. They have a lot of different styles.

Glad you said it. They have 8 categories of men's watches and they offer several bands that you can swap out.

They make affordable watches that match many high end watches in quality.

Definitely not a watch I would dismiss as being too casual.

And.. I believe it still works.. mvmt.com/rogan from joe rogan and i think it's 10 or 15% off an order. Not sure if it still works though.

The only statement a $700.00 watch makes about you is that you can’t afford a good watch.

Buy a new suit instead and carry your phone with you.

This is not the case at all. Just because OP isn’t willing to spend $5,000-25,000 on a watch doesn’t mean he’s not rocking a quality piece with a $700 budget. This is especially so when buying a pre-owned piece.
