UPDATE 6/26/13: As I'm sure everyone has figured out by now, we have not been doing name changes. Maybe sometime we'll start them again when the staff has more time, but until it is announced here, requests will be ignored. Asking will only waste your time and clutter up this section for the people that are looking for real assistance with the forum.
Before requesting a name change, please consider the following items:
1) Name changes will usually be granted, however, in some cases we may choose not to. If your name change isn't granted, don't bother contacting another moderator, we've already discussed it.
2) Check the memberlist to ensure your name isn't already taken.
3) If granted, name changes will be done as we get to them. That means it may take several days (or even longer) for us to take care of it. STARTING NOW, BUMPING A THREAD OR COMPLAINING WE DIDN'T GET TO IT FAST ENOUGH FOR YOU, WILL RESULT IN YOUR NAME NOT BEING CHANGED.
4) DO NOT PM a moderator directly for a name change, post your request here in the Suggestions Box.
5) If you are coming off a ban, your name change will not be even considered for 60 days.
6) Remember that a lot of other large sites will not allow name changes at all. Don't abuse it!
