I had a vortec on my 98. It was a monster. I agree the the roots is better concerning everyday driving (due to the availibility of imediate boost). A centerfulgal supercharger will be more efficiant since it is a true compressor. A roots/eaton style is only a positive displacement pump. Therfore, what goes in, goes out. There are several advantages of each, but the eaton design has proven to be reliable. that is why so many other car use them. Just my .02 cents.

expected delivery early/mid 8/02. ...torch red vert.
any suggestions about avoiding police/ gas mileage/ best stations to fill up etc...
(Did you let them wash it first ? How dirty is it now ?
Do you trust the "water jet" car washes to help "de-bulk" it to clean it up ??

Are you planning on doing any mods? I grew up in DFW and now I live in OKC due to job but about 3 times a month I am down there, have property in Greenville and Ft. Worth. Hope to see your car around.
