So I recently crashed my 98 GT Mustang that I had built over the last 6 years. Started as a drag car then to a grip car and then a drift car.

I had been making good progress and was competing in Just Drift/Top drift Pro am series this year. The week after the first round I went to irwindale to get some seat time and try some new parts. I ended up putting it into the wall and bent the frame front and back.

So basically I was out a chassis.

So i started looking around and I came across a new edge Bullitt roller that had been stripped of its OEM bullitts pieces and replaced with Cobra and Saleen parts. I picked it up and have some really big plans for this one.

Not only to get back on the track ASAP but build something better than what my SN95 was and trying to finish it within a few months in order to compete in Top Drift even though I'll be out of the points race, the seat time and experience is very critical to me.

So here is where we start my new project - Boosteddriftbullitt

Spent a day removing all the sound deadening and prepping the chassis.

Today started the cage and stitch welding the chassis.

Very interesting. As a fellow Bullitt owner, I think its great to see someone who appreciates the car and who will go out and compete with it. The bullitts are awesome cars and very special to their owners although they were short changed by the Mach 1's and terminators. Its good to see people make something competitive out of them so they get some love.

Its coming along. Still have alot of work. But the cage is pretty much done for the most part and I finished test fitting the dash. Also cut the rear of the car out and mounted the fuel cell and radiator.

Yeah, shame you had the wreck, but this Bullitt build is going to be epic IMO. Keep us posted.

Continuing to make progress this week and weekend. Finished painting the interior/cage and trunk area of the car. Finished the frame for firewall in the rear. Dropped in the new fuel cell and radiator setup. Also got my MM full length subframe connectors installed as well.

Getting the dash back together on the new car. Did some rewiring and redid the loom on the harnesses and ditched some of the wiring in harness as well. And yes that is a 4 inch pipe behind the dash on the passenger side floor board.

Also chopped off the front end so I can tube it and gonna stitch weld the chassis as well for the added strength.

Continued on the engine bay. Stitch welded the chassis and cleaned up the extra holes on the shock towers and firewall. Fresh paint to clean up the engine bay and ready to put the motor in next.

Dropped the 4v in with the Trans the other night. Had to custom fab some brackets for the T56 AJE trans crossmember since the last car was a 98 which uses the different style from the 99-04 chassis. Will get some pix of that soon.

This past weekend I finished up a big project that took awhile, making the rear firewall which will seal off the fuel cell and radiator from the cockpit.

Then I cut the heavy rear quarter panels off the car and installed some fiberglass over fenders from Duraflex. The fitment was literally perfect.
