04-11 Focus rear Bilstein B8 is a whopping 49mm outer diameter. Swapped them on to try them out. Drove last night to see Rage Against The Machine in Washington DC and the car did the trip quite well albeit a bit rough. The car is beyond stiff with the massive spring rates but the dampers seem to control them pretty good. Brutal on the roads around DC though and definitely not a daily drivable car. On another note, car set P0217, P0454 and P061A on the way home. Engine Coolant Temp sensor is getting replaced due to the P0217 code. Car isnt part of the cooling system recall so ill yank the old sensor, resistance test it and more than likely just replace it. Ill also pressure test the cooling system to double check no other leaks or cylinder head issues. The P0454, yet again, is the stupid evaporative emissions canister purge valve piece. Third time this thing has gone bad and needing to be replaced. Another $170 down the drain to get this cleared. P061A is the torque code that all tuned cars have. Ill ask Dizzy to tune it out as it should have been turned off to begin with.
