15's are incredible for grip. The RS4's in 225/45 are not exactly the pinnacle of sticky 200tw but so far I have yet to feel the end of the grip they afford. The car is faster than i am so i dont feel like id be losing out on going to either 16 x 8 and the 215/45R16 or staying with the 15x8 and 225/45R15. Either way, both are significant improvements in overall grip. The gearing with the 16's felt better. I do want to try out a 215/40R17 to see if going taller would help with the 2-3-4 shifts at Summit Point. Mount them and enjoy them. Only way to really tell how you like it is by putting them on and going hog. If you cant make it to the track maybe check out an autocross? Always good to brush up on the fun side of things and its not a huge investment if you are going for FTD. The Swifts will get you to -1.5 of camber max. Best bet if youre keeping stock struts is to grab a set of DNA or CTR camber plates. If they are too much in the $$ department, grab a set of Whiteline camber bolts in 12mm. They will get you up and over the -2.0 of negative camber this car needs to perform. I went DNA camber plates and feel they are worth the price point. CTR also makes a nice set. Using a very rudimentary gauge, im sitting at -3.0 of camber. This is on the B14 damper/B8 rear, b-spec springs(eibach 500lbs) and DNA camber plates. I didnt cut the tower so no adjustment without removing the entire damper and resetting. I may cut the towers at a later date for adjustment purposes.
