Trackcross went amazingly good. Car ran flawless. Got a good few videos and will be uploading them today to Youtube. Ill post them up when they are ready. Changes from last event: 1. Removed rear sway bar 2. Went back to stock Ford performance pads 3. Installed brake air deflectors Removing the rear sway bar made the biggest difference. Car felt much less twitchy at the limit. Rotation isnt as snap-oversteer as it was before. It felt great on the high speed transitions of Jefferson circuit. Brakes felt absolutely on point. The Hawk pads used to need some heat to get them to bite hard while the OE performance pads("S" labeled pads) are about perfect for this type of event. Huge initial bite but can handle the heat coming from a 90mph straight into a hard left hander(afternoon runs). They exceeded my expectations and i doubt ill use another pad other than the OE "S" pads. I do have the Hawks sitting in a box and another set of Powerstop PST pads that ill probably put up for sale shortly. The air deflectors....well i didnt bring my temp gun to see brake temps but the pads didnt overheat, pedal stayed firm and nothing fell off. So i guess they worked? No clue until i get some testing results. Tire pressures i started at 39F/35R and adjusted as they heated up over the 4 runs each session. That seems to be the best medium for the RS-RR's. Next on the list of things to do...figure out why a P2282 code came up on the drive home. Code is for an air leak between throttle body and intake manifold. Have to check it out this week. I believe i might have not seated one of the evap hose connections when i did the throttle body before. Car runs and drives perfectly fine so its not a big issue. And finally, i need to install the Velossa Tech intake and my big surprise which ill get to this week. They are going to be a huge grip improvement for next event.
