Welp last autocross weekend of the year with CDC was a total disaster. Ran one clean run due to an intermittent issue that kept popping up and had 2 other runs that were OC. Didnt even run the 4th run of the day. Here is how it all went down. I have had a small issue where the car would idle high(1500ish rpm) or surge after an autocross run. Wouldn't happen during spirited driving or on highway use, only after an autocross run, never during. I always checked codes but never had any. Usually a blip of the throttle would clear it up and i kind of attributed it to the heat during the summer. Finally this past weekend it all came crashing down. First run, turn off ESC, stage at the start, GO! Mid run, my right knee somehow hits the ESC button and the car kills itself. Falls on its face to correct my rotation around a tight 90* right hander. Run ends in a 53.8 time. Not good. Stage for my second run, GO! Get through the first few turns and then the car falls on its face. ESC is still off, no CEL and no wrench light. Odd. Coast through the rest of the run and go back to the parking lot to see whats up. I cant find anything. Car is running fine but it just had no pedal response. Third run comes up. ESC off, launch the car, car takes off and i shift into second. Then.....BRICK WALL. Car falls off power so far i nearly hit my helmet on the steering wheel. Wrench light is on, car is missing, no throttle response. Coast off to the side, turn it off. Try to restart it and it wouldnt fire. Turn it off again. Wait a minute, now marshals are asking if the car is ok, i try to turn it back on again and it fires and runs perfectly fine. WTF! Pull back into the parking lot and a few guys come up and ask whats going on. No clue. Run codes and P2112 comes up as Throttle Actuator Stuck Closed. So looks like my throttle body is coming up as dirty and sticking or the actuator itself is going bad. So now looking for a new throttle body to stick on it.
