Got this camera about a week ago, bought it from adorama.com. I highly recommend them, good prices and good products. I ordered a package deal so it came with memory card, extra battery, case, warranty, etc... Here are a few photos I have taken since I've had it. If anyone on here that lives in the Tampa Bay area wants pictures of their car let me know.

Nice pics! I may take you up on that offer to take some pics of my car when I get it cleaned up real good. Where in Tampa are you? I'm in the Lutz/ Land O Lakes area. Do you have a price for your services?

Thanks

I'm actually in Hernando County, which is >30mins from Lutz. Are you near 41?

And I don't charge anything lol, I do it for fun. I'm not a business. :rolling:

Alright man sounds good. I actually live right off of 54, so 41 is about 4 miles away from me. I'll PM you one day and let you know when I get my car all cleaned up, so we can set up a meeting. Thanks again.

I got to borrow a friends D80 before buying the XSi and I am sure glad I went Canon.

I might have a photoshoot lined up of a cobra later if the weather clears up.

I have an XTi. After many hours of research I went with the Canon. I am not sure why so many people here go with Nikon ( I am not bashing on it. They are both great camera companies). I checked out the XSi and it is badass. I might pick one up later. If you don't know much about photography you should pick up a book on it. I think they have one specifically for your camera. Go get a 50mm 1.4 lens next. I use that lens for almost everything.

Welcome to the Canon family

Nice shots. What is your flickr userID? I'm bullitt453.

All the entry level Canons and Nikons were just too dang small for my hand. The D80 and 40D felt great, but were way out of my price range. I ended up going with the Sony A200 SLR. I know it's the black sheep of the dSLR family, but it takes great pictures, has IS built into the body, allows me to have full manual control over the exposure (like all SLRs), and feels very comfortable in my hand.
