Thank you very kindly Bob. The lack of Mystichrome leather will definitely be a problem for these cars long term. You can always respray the paint to make it look factory fresh, but the leather is a rare bird. There was one original batch made by a company called: “Garden State Tanning.” They used the pigments of the color changing paint mixed with softeners/conditioners. The end results are magical. It’s the only car to ever have color-changing leather. Unfortunately, it cannot be reproduced. There was an attempt, but it looked quite a bit different... not like the original batch. TMI Interiors bought the remaining original leather and made factory correct replacement seat skins. There was a thread here a few years back that said TMI was running out and only had enough of the leather for a couple more sets. I bought a set and have it store for safe keeping. I also bought a backup recovered steering wheel with the original leather. These are items that simply will not be available down the road. I probably will never need them, but I have them just in case. Even 15 years later, I am enamored with Mystichrome!
