Well, its been a while since I have posted here and I figure today is the day to show the progress of the car I purcahsed a few years ago.

Ive done a full interior swap, rewire most of the electronics (radio, power windows has issues, fuel pump setup ect..). I pulled the IMRC's (no idea why it still had them intact) and while I was in there replaced all of the gaskets (IMRC, valve covers and intake) because I suspected a leak. I painted the upper and lower intake, valve covers and all the bolts. I also did the alternator while I was in there..

Here are some pictures from around when I got it. The last guy built it as a racer, but never got the chance.

I think Ive put 2k on it in 2 years

After: Ill get more pics soon... It looks soooo much better... I wish it came like this from the factory...

I painted the door cups, autometer pod and center dash bezel a gloss black and added the metal switch covers to the door cups and AC controls.

Painted the upper and lower intakes..

I painted the whole intake black then used pin stripe to get a perfect line on the top. Then painted the whole thing silver with black speckles. I pulled the pin stripe off, a few coats of clear and it was good to go.

Fuel Rail Brackets…

Painted the fuel rail brackets that I had to modify. Aeromotive brackets are 1/8 too big from the factory and cause leaks. The problem was the rail did not seat all the way down on the injector.

I had two options cut 1/8 off the bracket (the width of a metal blade) and weld them or make new brackets that were 1/8 shorter. So just make new brackets.

Interior..

Interior swap..

I changed the entire interior over from the Tan to Charcoal. There were a few things that I didn’t know about till I did the swap.

Seat Belts.

SN95 Cars have different seat belt mounting from 94-98. The 99+ mustangs have a wider clasp at the buckle. Also 99+ cars mount the drivers and passenger side belts to the seat VS SN95 mounts to the car’s body.
For Verts, the pass and drivers belts mount on the floor behind the seats while the 99+ mount them in the rear ¼ panels. Finding belts for the verts isn’t easy either. As a temp solution I left the sn95 belts in the car while I located the 99+ belts. I found them now I have to get around to installing them.

Carpet
Any carpet you install is going to need to be cut up to install, because it’s not only larger than the original but there are no cuts anywhere in it. Plus having a cage doesn’t make anything easier.

I found someone with a complete interior from a 99 cobra vert with the exception of the seats. I believe they are from a 99+ GT. Also the car has a 5pt harness.

Yeay the color is much better, they are a bit more stiff than the sn95 seats but I dont mind them at all.

Do you still have the two tone door panels?

Nope, sold them to fund other parts.

Absolutely gorgeous...very nice bro, tasteful and elegant. Good job.

Thanks, its been a work in progress..
