I finally took the time and figured out how to edit my GoPro video from Hastings last season.

Final few laps, car was still badged as AIX since I was on Hankooks. This is with the through the body side exhaust.

I shift at 7k. Or atleast thats what the stock tach showed. I have a sequential shift light that will be on the dash above the steering wheel, it should give me a better view of the rpms and when to shift.

Through the body side exhaust. MAC LT headers, Dr. Gas x-pipe, no mufflers. Exhaust can be seen in the above pic near the NASA decals on the doors.

Just curious what compound of Carbotech's are you using? I've been using the carbotech pads for my track rat. They're awesome pads

Im using the RP2 compound.

For brake cooling I use the larger foglight opening and run a 4" hose to direct air to the rotor.

2 pc. rotors with TCE hats and Coleman blanks. Tough as nails and not as expensive as other 2 peice rotors on the market today.

The hats came with the car and thats who I was told made them but Todd should know what youre wanting. ToddTCE is his username on here, if I remember right. Ive thought about getting a second set but like you I didnt see them on the website so I never ordered them.

Great video!

I love what you did with the shifter... I wish I had something like that in my street-car!

I had to do something. Im tall enough that I mounted the race seat as low and far back as possible. I can still reach the pedals. My arms werent long enough to reach the shifter for 3rd or 5th gear. I also added a 5" extension to the steering shaft.

That's such a simple solution. I love it.

Basically same issue for me. I'm 6'4" and have a fixed mounted, fixed back seat in my car. It's been a compromise between leg room and being able to comfortably get the car into 3rd and 5th.

Definitely something for me to keep in mind...

Up close shot of the steering shaft. The quick release is a Sweet Mfg part. Not having the steering wheel in the way really aids in getting out of the car very quickly.

Cool vid! What you did with the shifter is badass. Do you have to trailer your Cobra there or is your class a street legal class? How hard is it to get into the class youre in and be competitive?

The shifter did turn out pretty good for a being built with minimal resources and even less talent. It rows the gears better than I imagined it would.

The car gets trailered to events, I dont have it tagged. There's really nothing on the car thats not street legal though. I couldnt imagine driving the car any real distance other than on a race track in anger.

As far as racing and being competitive in AI? Its much easier to build the car, get your race liscence than it is to be competitive in the class. American Iron has top level competition and thats a good thing. Its fun to build the car and then take it out and see how both it and yourself measures up against the competition.

Finally got around to it and fabbed up the side exhaust bezels, its amazing how much time a few small pieces of aluminum can consume.
