Here are some photos of my engine build. All machining and assembly was done by Jim Grubbs Motorsports in Valencia, California. I started with heads and an intake manifold and it snowballed from there. I ended up with a forged stroker crankshaft and Manley H-beam connecting rods from Livernois. I then purchased a Boss 5.0 modular block and ended up with a displacement of 322ci. 11:1 compression ratio with ported SVO 2v heads.

After assembly was finished still waiting for me to pick it up from JGM.

I was hoping to have it in already, but I'm going to make a couple changes first. I am going to buy the Trick Flow manifold for 2v 4.6L and have it port matched to my heads. Then I am going to convert my wiring harness for coil on plug. Next the car will be heading to the chassis shop to have my sub-frame connectors and torque boxes welded up. Lastly I decided to clean up the engine bay and fill all the Swiss cheese in there. Maybe by the end of summer, we'll see. Should make around 450 horsepower at the crank and 375 to the tire.

The parts pile is building up again. American Racing Headers sold me a sweet set of long tubes. McCleod sold me a clutch and lightened billet steel flywheel.

I will update this build after the TFS manifold goes on and I do the COP conversion with Granatelli Motor Sports Pro Series 65,000 volt coils.

sweet build man, any power adder in mind?

Thanks for the kind words guys! I'm proud to rep the 2v crowd! As, for power adder, it will get a very healthy shot of nitrous. I'm thinking about a 200 shot when I put the unit on it! I figure on motor it should be good for mid to high 11s and on the unit I'm thinking mid 10s. But I built this more with street and road racing in mind than drag strip thrashing. Some changes are coming soon, Trick Flow intake manifold, COP conversion and some aesthetic upgrades. It should turn around 7000 RPM, but we'll see where the power drops off when it goes on the chassis dyno.
