I guess it’s time to plan to make a trip to the track...
we need to see that .
to hit 9's at 137-138mph you will need your 1/8th to be 6.3 and get the 60' into 1.3 .Even if you trap 140-142 you will still need 1.4 60's to get into 9s specially in a manual car

I don’t have a drag setup for the track so I’m hoping for a mid 10 pass but the mph should be interesting.
I got my dragy back so I bloat after dinner and see what I can do with that

I just did a 60 to 130 with the dragy. I had 150 pound passenger and rolled into the throttle pretty gently from the hit. Might be able to do a little bit better I only gave it one run. I don’t know if this is a good or bad time...?

That's very similar as my R8 this time of the year, around 7 seconds. The best I've been was 6.79 on a cold spring day .

That’s too funny, I was just thinking of your car and remembered you had posted some draggy times I’m the past.
What does your car trap?

Apples to oranges maybe.
I don't have a Zo6.. but i have the data sheets from my mustang on the dyno that runs mid 10s.

60-130 was 4.57 secs.. maybe the duno skews because no wind resistance though.

This ties in because i was talking to a guy with a stick z06 that said he was over 700rwhp..
He ran 11.2s all day.
To run 4.57 sec 60-130mph you need to trap around 150mph in 1/4 mile

130-132mph on track surface . 10.38 is the best so far at the track . 10.18 on the street in winter time on a 34*F day .

Big difference. My gtr was running 6.6-6.7 60-130 with 10.0 @136mph passes . My brothers superchaged Mustang was doing 6.1 with 9.9 @142mph 1/4 mile

Phenomenal machine you have. That may be my next car. Thanks for sharing the data. :)
I’ll go out tomorrow and do some more pulls. I know it’s got more in it.

A8’s are the way to go. Manuals just can’t match them anymore.
I got a 6.85 a few days ago but the challenge is traction. It blows the tires off until I hit third, then it dead hooks.
Raced my sons friend with a GSXR 600 that has some bolt ons and a pipe. He tells me it’s the fastest year made. We went from a 50 roll, again blowing the tires off and staying side by side till 70 mph, by the top of 4th gear it was a tractor trailer behind.
no video unfortunately. :(

I am surprised he lasted that long.....

I hate to be “that” guy but rowing gears to 9’s at your power level is going to be some hero shit that you provably won’t achieve.

Hopefully you’ll prove me wrong .... either way it’ll be Fun to get after it and try!!

FYI my stock a8 ZR1 did 6.6 seconds 60-130. I'll post a video. Most of the Zr1's in good weather run 10.2-10.6@134-136mph. Every single one of the Zr1's with those times are A8 cars. Keep in mind the cup 2 tires on these cars are really really good and guys hook really nicely at the track with them. Have you joined the vette forum yet? Tons of info on there...either way your car is fast, you just gotta realize getting into the 9's is tough especially with a manual car. Here are the fast lists from the vette forum...as you can see, lots of A8 cars!

Unless you bought the car specifically for the track or you prefer auto I think you made a right choice. I’d gladly forgot some all out straight line performance for the driver fun of the manual day in and day out.

Gave 60-130 another try and got 5.8 seconds. I think it still got some left in it.
Keep in mind there was a 2-3 and 3-4 shift in there. I also caught air at 100 mph so lost acceleration for that moment. Lol.
