So when you are tuning the engine on the dyno, you are tuning it</p><p>to the amount of load that it normally sees on the street and therefore it</p><p>won't detonate when on the street.</p><p></p><p> As for the Dynojet reading higher than the Mustang, that is correct. But</p><p>if you look at almost all of the other dyno manufacturers out there, they</p><p>read numbers closer to ours. About 6 months ago, there was a magazine</p><p>article in "Sportscar International." This article was an interview with</p><p>Mark Dobeck, the founder and original owner of Dynojet. In the articles he</p><p>goes on to explain when he made his first motorcycle dyno, they weren't</p><p>getting wheel horsepower numbers that he thought a certain motorcycle should</p><p>get. So he incorporated a fudge factor into the number. That fudge factor</p><p>has been present ever since in all of their dynos.
