MT-82 Fluid Fill Level

Can someone explain why the V-6 version says to fill to the bottom of the fill hole and the V-8 version is 3/8" BELOW the fill hole??

Also, what horrible things will happen if I fill my V-8 version to the bottom of the fill hole since I cannot check it well if it's below the fill hole.....CRAZY!!

I filled mine to the fill hole 35,000 mile ago. No issues.

Thanks.......I wonder why there's a difference in the 2 transmissions and I think mine is almost full too....seems OK??

I'd contact the guy that rebuilds them but he's on FB only and I do not do FB!!

No clue. I wouldn't worry about the difference.

Filled mine to the top of the hole. Been driving great ever since.

Thanks guys.....just ordered some new Redline DCTF and all I read it's the best so gonna give it a whirl ASAP.....ALL 3 QUARTS!!
