looking at the numbers, a drivers race in the real world with the nod to the camaro. but id expect the camaro to come out swing after getting it ass drug from 2010 to now.
what makes no sense to me the is that camaro is stated as getting to 110 in 11.4, but trapped at 114 with an 12.4 ET? a full second to pick up 4 mph? could be right just seems odd to me.
i guess we will see the youtube vids soon enough of modded vs modded cars.
interested to see what 2017 brings for the stang the 10speed is coming and maybe a power bump and GT350 aero from a little rumor I've heard.
id also be interested to see the last time MT picked a ford in any comparison test, I'm sure the 2016 v6 camaro vert will win in a compare against the GT350. all i can remember is reading about how the GT500 just hammered the ZL1 but ZL1 won because MAGNETS

I am more interested how a bolt-on '16 Camaro SS competes with a '16 Mustang GT with bolt-ons
Outcome was predictable. Camaro is certainly fast but my money is on the Coyote as the motor to have. Ford will reapond as they had to have known that this was coming from Chevy; it's not like it was a secret what they were up to. Only thing I found confusing was the weight difference. I thought at top trim the cars were only like 20lbs apart? This comparison has them at like 200lbs?
The acceleration data doesn't make sense? The GT is 1.5 seconds slower 0-100 AND 0-110 then it's only .5 slower in the 1/4? How is that possible?
What's even more odd is the Camaros full second to pick up the last 5mph in the quarter. Something doesn't add up and if it was legit then there is something seriously wrong with whoever is driving these cars in the test. But the discrepency between the Mustang's time and the Camaro is weird.

It kills me when guys on here say the S550 is too expensive when it's pretty much priced exactly the same as the 2014's were, give or take about $800. Don't want to spend $45k on a Mustang GT? That's cool...buy one for $32k.
Oh you wanted a 400+ hp V-8 car with IRS, leather interior, Navi, upgraded sound, and performance package for $25k? Well I guess you should build a machine that warps you into another dimension where shit DOESN'T cost money then.

I'd take the GT on looks alone.
Not surprised. Am I the only one that sees almost a $10k price difference between the two? The Mustang (as tested) was $47k, which means it has to be fully loaded. That added more weight. Why didnt they test a standard baseline GT? Those things weigh 3705lbs. Why do magazines always do that?

I dont ever recall Motor Trend giving the win to a Mustang. Not even when they compared it to the M3. The only thing I remember was back in 2000, when Car and Driver did a rivalry comparison between the BOSS, and the ZL1. The BOSS beat the ZL1 on the strip, but the ZL1 beat the BOSS on the track, as the BOSS was set up for the strip with an auto trans. In the end, it was a tie, and neither car won. Thats the closest thing ive seen to a Mustang winning with any magazine test.
