I find I use the internet less and less because of all stupid ad's. Most web site's and forums are more of a pain In The ass then they are worth, with all the pop up's and crap to deal with. SVTP just took it too a new level I see.

No new ads fields have been added to the standard site. Are you getting a pop-up? If so, post a screen cap.

I'm guessing you're referring to the ads on the mobile skin...
before today we had zero and now we're testing a few.
This site costs money to run; money that comes from advertisers, through impressions that visitors generate.
I came here for the pics and videos..... But all I got is complaining.
Oh I thought you were browsing on a desktop. I use tap-a-talk for mobile browsing but I don't have anything to block ads on it. I mostly stick to lurking on my home or work computer.
I know it cost money to run a business. A company is entitled to run their business any way they like. I am providing honest feedback so that decisions can be made.
.....so don't use tapatalk. I hate mobile formats for forums. Been browsing forums on cellphones since 2007 (palm treo) with ease.

I have no problem with the ad format on SVTP or the other mustang site I frequent.
It's your typical top banner and side banner and a bottom banner.
I went to a Jeep site for a DIY article and there were so many ads that the site was intolerable without adblock.
Another local site had a great revolt last December due to increasingly annoying ads with ads permanently superimposed on the page and the banning of members using adblock.
The site owners do have the right to place as many ads as they wish but they must also understand that once they become more of a distraction people will block them then their existing advertisers will actually be losing exposure.
