My buddy just got a flip chip in his 03 Cobra with a program for 93 and a program for 101 octain. I want to know how easy it is to install and uninstall a chip for waranty reasons. Can they detect that a chip was plugged in? I really want to know. Any advice would be helpfull.

There is a sealant over the contacts on the PCM that is removed to put a chip in. There is no other reason to remove the sealant, so they know it has been chipped.

They do sell a replacement sealant that you can use to reseal the contacts!

Because to "plug in" a chip you have to scrape away a protective coating over where you connect the chip. The only way they wouldn't you know you had a chip is to have a spare PCM.
