I'm always looking for new bands. So far I've got:

All Shall Perish
Arch Enemy
Behemoth
Bloodbath
Born of Osiris
Children of Bodom
Dethklok
Dimmu Borgir
Dragonforce
Job for a Cowboy
Kalmah
Kataklysm
Naglfar
Nile
Suicide Silence
The Acacia Strain
The Black Dahlia

I know there is a lot more. I'm missing. Share what you have or know about.

No Godsmack, Korn, or shit like that please.

Divine Heresy has always been a favorite of mine, preferably with Tommy.

Recently started to get into The Dillinger Escape Plan, though i'm not sure how they would be classified, most seem to label them as "Mathcore".

I don't know man lol, I'm not a fan of labels personally, but there isn't any way to avoid it when it comes to metal.

How about some youtube videos from specific songs you guys like from your listed bands? I'm always on the hunt for new music as well.

I lold when a friend told me about Mathcore. What kind of a name for a genre is that?

I've always considered Normal Jean and The Chariot just hardcore but apparently they fall under mathcore. ...two awesome freaking bands though! The Chariot is more raw than any metal band I've ever heard.

I have to put in Between the Buried and Me. They are progressive metal but a lot of their material is very heavy, but has a way of flowing smoothly for 60-80 minutes. They're incredibly talented and put out some of the best music IMO

also check out
Gojira
The Red Chord
Veil of Maya
Cephalic Carnage
Periphery (progressive)
The Haunted
Meshuggah
Through The Eyes of the Dead
Pig Destroyer
Whitechapel
Winds Of Plague

If your gonna venture into Hardcore/punk/thrash/crossover/mathcore too go with
Dillinger Escape Plan
Every Time I die
Converge
The Chariot
Terror
Animosity
Have Heart
Tony Danza Tap Dance Extravaganza
Nuclear Assault
Municipal Waste

Check out Strapping Young Lad.

Anything by Devin Townsend is amazing

A friend told me about The Black Dahlia Murder's cover of Paint It Black. It's a great cover.
