Matte stripe question

I just picked up a new boss and have read the matte stripes scratch easy. Just wanted to see what else everyone uses on their stripes or any techniques you guys have.

Hard to protect them from scratching, but to protect them from fading, just use something like 303 Aerospace Protectant, it's water based and easy to use.

I havent seen any scratches on mine so far.... hope i dont get any either.
