Really starting this post to see how many people out there completed a swap this way. Not in any way getting any info personally on how to do it, due to i have already completed mine with a H122 blower swap. Just wanting to get other like minded people in here to give there likes and dislikes about the Marauder Eaton swap. Plus any other people out there interested in the swap and a place to post there thoughts and questions. I currently have the first version of the brackets that don't have the snout pulley addition. Working on my own bracket to get a better belt wrap on the snout pulley.
I know one guy that tried them and ran into the weirdest problem. The way the alternator is mounted would cause a cam sensor code. If he moved the alternator half an inch the code wouldn't pop up. That was with multiple sensors and different alternators. Granted he's the guy that if it can happen, it'll happen to him.
Yea, it ends up being pretty close for sure. My marauder cam sensor hasn't popped up with any problems yet so fingers crossed.
I just started the swap using a set of first version brackets I got for cheap. It will be slow, but maybe I'll start a thread that will generate some discussion. As long as this has been around, there is surprisingly little information. There was a great write up posted on several forums, but the all the pictures are long gone. An easy fix for the cam pickup interference would be a sheet metal shroud that bolts down with the sensor.
I'm making my own brackets. I used picture search a lot, and made test brackets from plywood. I made Inventor drawing from test bracket, and had them laser cut from mild steel. Sc bracket is ready, alt bracket needs some turned parts.
I just sourced a full cobra swap, for the wife's Marauder. She doesn't want me changing anything.if anyone interested PM me. $3500
I have terry’s brackets. Looks kind of like the above. 5 yrs later from a ported Eaton a TVS at 22lbs and it’s still perfect.
Also with the alternator on accessory drive vs 03-04 on blower drive we don’t get early alternator wear.
