New Changes,

I decided to change my 2012 Boss Race Gloss Black wheels & Toyo Proxes Tire package.

I just took a look at one rear M/T New SC-5 Wheel & Street Comp tire.

I liked what I saw so Discount Tire installed it on my 08 Bullitt Mustang so I could see if I wanted to order a set.

Turns out they look bitchin so they ordered the complete set for me.

They might come in this week and hopefully will get them installed.

Below are some Pics. of them.

There are a Total of 44-pictures.
Below are a few of them.

Do you have your stock wheels and tires?

Nope the Stock Bullitt Wheels and tires I sold many years ago now.
This is like the 5th set of wheels and tires I have had on the 08 Bullitt.

Looks great. First ive seen!

Thanks and I may be the 1st that got them both.
The M/T SC-5 wheels and M/T Street Comp tires.
I had been following these for months now until they finally came on the market for sale.

Here are the pics. after they all four (4) were installed at Discount Tire here locally in Franklin, TN.

How good do the tires hook? Thinking about those tires in 19's

It is not often that a person can ask a question on the INTERNET an expect or trust the reply they are going to get.

Well I am the exception to that general rule.

These M/T super comp Tires have just as much traction as any of the rest of the (True Street Tires) I have ran.

That being said let me add a few more comments on street tires and traction.

There are no street tires that are going to hold a (High Horsepower) Mustang with lower read-end gears that is (Highly-Modified).
That is just the way it is and I'm telling you this as a fact.

Once you get to 500 RWHP & Torque you can forget about (TRACTION) from a Stop on the street.

Mustangs that have more normal HP & Torque would probably do okay with these tires or others for that matter.

But I'm not going to tell someone else to jump up and spend their hard earned dollars for these tires claiming they have some Awesome Traction Abilities.

I can tell you I have plus 200-miles on them now.
They ride quietly.
They are very smooth even though they are 20's.
I run now 32 psi in all four (4) tires.
That seems to work best for ride quality.
I had 35 psi in them at first but it just makes the ride to darn Rock-Hard !!!

Well don't know if this was the type of reply you were looking for but it is factual and honest.

Looks good. I like these rims more but really liked the Toyos. How do the new tires compare?

What is your RWHP and RWTQ?

What springs are you running on the car and what size drop front and rear, mine sits a little lower than that and i'd like to get it up a little

The Toyo R888 tires have excellent traction.
These M/T Street Comp tires do not come even close to the Toyo R888 tires.
They are just two completely different types of tires.
Meaning you can't really compare them they are just to different.

I am running the stock 08 Bullitt Mustang Shocks with the Steeda Ultra-Lite Springs front & rear.

I don't recall now exactly what they drop the car.
Maybe like 1.5" rear and 1" front it seems.
(Best Guesstimation)

I think this is the perfect compromise for a street driven Mustang.
Looks great, rides perfect, and not so low you can't drive it.

Sorry about the very slow replies from me.
I never received any E-Mail notice about your Post. :mj: :mj: :mj:

Looks great!! Love the stance.

Thank-You

It looks pretty darn cool when seen in person.
I attended a car show this past Saturday and a few of the guys that came by to say hello.
Said the M/T wheels & tires look even better now that they have seen them in person.

If M/T does and I think they will come out with a 305/35/20 Street Comp Tire.
I will jump on a set for the rear.
I think if I can do that not only will they look Bad-Ass they will give me some much needed (Traction) !!!
I don't think any of this will take place more than likely until next spring.

Very good .........

In the next few months I should be running the New M/T Street Comp 305/35-20's rear & 275/35-20's front on the M/T SC-5 wheels.

The 305 tires are suppose to be out this July.

Here are a few pictures of the current "tigermachine II".

Wow just taking in all the pics and info in the thread. I love the Bullit btw! My Dad has an F-150 in a darker shade of green and I like it.

It's been a while since I've been on the site(or any mustang forums) I've been looking for ideas, suggestions and builds like yours to mod my Mustang to perfection.
