Did not know the gauge was apple friendly i'll probably be making the switch. Question tho. If I buy a used one will I need to have it unlocked to use on my vehicle?

I had to have mine unlocked when I switched ECUs in my car. It was a file they emailed me and it unlocked it for another vin. Literally took 5 seconds to unlock and it didnt cost anything.

Sorta - as I understand it - Lund requires you to “upgrade” to their firmware on the device and then it’s locked as a Lund device going forward...

Nope. Only a Lund specific Nguage can only be tuned by Lund. Just a friendly reminder if you have a Lund tune on an SCT device they'll switch it over to the nguage at no cost.

Leaning towards Lund, mostly because I like the Nguage. I wish AED would use the HP Nguage.
