So I want to put either FRPP P springs or steeda's sport springs on my gt when I get it. Everyone seems to change out the struts and do cc plates when they lower their cars. Can I just change the springs without changing anything else, or do you have to do all the support stuff too when lowering these cars? I would think that only lowering the car a 1'' to 1 1/4" would not need anything else.

I think alot of guys have done it. Although your best ride and alignment is gonna come with adding aftermarket shocks and camber adjustment. The good thing is you can always add those parts later.

Springs and camber bolts are what u need. Put the upper camber bolts in when doing the springs and maximize the camber as positive as u can. That will put the car back within specs since u lowered it 1-1.5in. If not you may chew up the inside of the tires.
If I new what I know now I would do a set of knoni's at the same time there adjustible and they make a hude diff in handling.

+1.

I have the ProKit and camber bolts which aligned to factory specs. My car has 9k miles and no abnormal tire wear. With either of the springs you mentioned, you will be fine with the stock shocks/struts.

I'm running just the Eibach/Roush springs. No panhard bar, no camber bolts. Oddly, my alignment was perfectly within factory specs with just the springs so I didn't bother picking up anything else.

Yes some cars can get away without using bolts but for $40.00 having them when doing the job is well worth the money. If u take it to get the alignment checked and it needs more camber then your ****ed for not having them. Spend it!

Thanks for the feedback. I'll get the camber bolts to go with the springs. I'm new to this generation of mustang, having owned 8 previous mustangs (5 foxbody's, 02 gt, and 2 03 cobras). I knew those styles backward n forward, but these are learning everything over again.

Get a panhard bar. I'm ordering an adjustable one now. My rear has about a 1/4" to almost 1/2" difference from tire to fender on one side compared to the other. It was fine for the first couple of months but maybe me taking corners a little too fast has caused it to go a little out of whack.

I did have to order a panhard bar though. After putting on my wheels I noticed the driver side poked out a little more than the passenger side. From what I've been told it's like that from the factory though.

Also, American Muscle had J&M Panhards on sale for $100 shipped last week. Not sure if they are still that price though.

I did the FRPP K springs without anything else. I did have the alignment checked and the car was within spec. But I really do need an adjustable panhard bar. The rear is shifted to the drivers side and its noticable. But as for the other stuff, its not needed.

I have the FRPP K springs and a ADJ. panhard bar. Took it to get aligned they said it was within spec and nothing needed to be done. With just the spings it handles better and brakes better in my opinion. No to mention it looks MUCH MUCH better.

I had K springs with nothing else as well. The ride is harsh but the alignment was in spec. The rear was shifted over and I never got around to installing my panhard bar but it was not a huge deal.

I ran Eibach pro kit with Koni STR T shocks and the ride was great.I dont think you need camber bolts just the panhard.

the thing is the stock shocks are matched with the springs. If you change to a spring with a diff spring rate you may have premature wear of the stock shocks.

I would just save up and do both dampers and springs.
