I wish I had the answer for you right now. But I don't. Unfortunately, my mechanic installed the pulley. I'll ask him when he comes in in the morning. Drop me a PM to remind me. It's getting real hectic at the shop lately, and I might forget....

The instructions I've seen say:

Remove nuts from crank pulley "Cage"
Remove bolt from bottom of alternator bracket
Remove bolt from the top of the alternator support bracket
(pivot alternator out of the way)
Remove cooling line bracket bolt
Using a 14mm Hex tool and socket, loosen crank shaft bolt*
*Note: This takes a long breaker bar to loosen - Put transmission in gear and set emergency brakes, turn clockwise to loosen.

Remove caged pulley assembly
Remove studs from lower front cover

...
...
and on to the idler pulley...

Wow!

Hey, since you're there looking at it,

What other belt driven parts are going to spin faster with this lower pulley swap.

I know Alternator, but what else?

its in and all hooked up, that focker is huge. a speed bumb might hit it from the bottom side. is there any side affect to spinning the alternator faster?

That's a good question that I haven't been able to get an answer to. Most people are saying no but without any validation. I suspect it's safe but probably puts more wear-and-tear on it.

It hangs low enough that speed bumps are a concern????

Please post a pic of the finished install (ground level, front shot).

TIA, Mosconiac
