Like the title says, anyone have any recommendations for a quality unit that will hold a charge and jump a typical car or truck. I'm not sure I trust Amazon reviews anymore.

I got the Microstart xp-10 a few years ago for a Christmas gift. I have been very happy with it. It will start a completely dead car several times before needing charged. It started, barely, my dads 7.3 f350 with bad glow plugs unplugged last winter as well. That nearly drained the whole thing however.

I have a Viking from HF and it is actually really nice. It works really well and holds a charge. I keep it under the seat for when it is needed.

I have a Halo unit in each vehicle. I have used them multiple times for over five years. Only requirement is to charge twice a year.

I do have a Matco one in the Cobra but it’s prob overkill.

I bought a $99 jump pack from O’Reilly’s. It has an air compressor, standard electrical plug outlets and a flashlight built in plus big alligator clips. Starts the car four or five times before it needs to be recharged.
