Hey guys ,I'm new there. Finally this happened, i bought my dream car after a few years of searching. Additional to our ford family of 6 Ford. I live in europe so cobra was exported.

This Cobra first time i saw in manheim auction. But then I bought in copart(pheonix,az)

It has mechanical damage, crank no start. Now trying to find issue and fix it ;)

Car has already arrived in europe. I'm still looking for a previous owner and car history.Trying to find all possible info about the car. By carfax and autocheck always maintained in cleveland,GA. I will appreciate for any help.

There is vin 1FAFP48Y64F193478 if it helps ;)

Thanks and Happy new year!

Check inertia switch in the trunk.
Check fuses for fuel pumps.
Could be FPDM unplugged in trunk on drivers side.

Does the car have an aftermarket alarm? Could be a switch flipped somewhere, usually in the kick panel or under steering wheel area.

Do yo have a theft light flashing in the instrument cluster?

When you turn the key to run, do you hear the fuel pumps prime? Have someone else put there head down near the tank and cycle the key and listen for pumps to run.

Does the car have an aftermarket alarm? - Dont know exactly, but i think no.

- I will look

Do yo have a theft light flashing in the instrument cluster? - NO

When you turn the key to run, do you hear the fuel pumps prime? - Yes
Have someone else put there head down near the tank and cycle the key and listen for pumps to run. - No

Tomorrow i will do compressiom test and fuel pressure test. Then will look.

Common problem timing issue in cobra? Can it cause tune? Because i noticed TRAC ligt on which means traction off and ton of mod which requires Tune.

If it has a Kenne Bell boost a pump it has a tune.
Tune likely turned traction control off automatically (you don’t want it anyway).
Pics of engine for mods?

If it has a boost a pump, and you can hear the pumps. It is probably the FRPS (fuel rail pressure sensor). Replace the rail sensor, pull the engine oil dipstick and smell for gas. When the rail sensor goes bad, it will flood fuel into the oil and it will not run.

Replace the sensor, try to start the car normally. If it does not start within 5-10 seconds stop. Wait a few minutes and try again, but hold the gas pedal to the floor while cranking. Do this for 20 or so seconds, stop and wait for the starter to cool. Repeat.

If this fixes the issue, change the oil immediately because the fuel will wash the oil from the pistons and cause severe engine damage. So do not run it long like this with fuel in the oil.

frps is the fuel rail pressure sensor - thats whats reporting fuel pressure. Theres a little bladder inside it that can burst and causing over fueling. If you turn the key forward a couple times to prime the system (let it sit key forward for a couple seconds) you can probably just pull a vacuum line off it and see if there's fuel in it.

I think you start with seeing if you can hear the fuel pump prime when you turn the key to the run position (dont try to start it)

That got me in my 04 Mach1 when I was stationed in San Diego. Luckily I figured it out in a few minutes.

Been there so many times with the FRPS when I ran a BAP. I used to keep spares with me. I've fixed a few guys cars over the years with my spares. I would get them at the junk yard anytime I would go. V6/V8 are all the same.

Sooo, today i did compression and fuel pressure test.

Fuel pressure on ignition around 50psi ,when cranking 70psi. I think it is normal with boost a fuel pump, or not?

Compression test is the saddest time
Left head all cylinders 0psi , right head all cylinders around 70psi.

I think something with timing chain. on the next weekend i will try to take off valve covers and timing cover to inspect the problem.

Mods that i noticed:
Long headers
Bassani catted exhaust
Kenne bell boost a pump
Pulleys that i need Identify
Crankshaft pulley
I dont know if eaton ported
JLT cold air intake with sct map sensor.
Egr delete

I forgot to check fuel injectors code

Well in the process get rid of those shitty idlers or you'll be left stranded on the side of the rode with a nice 3nd gear romp. I always liked Metco's.
