Was driving today with a friend when a new CPS Ford Explorer cruiser came up on us fast.
He had his main sirens going, and air horn, but when he got really close to us we both felt a fast deep thumping pulse in our bodies.
We both thought of LRAD at the same time, and wondered if maybe they are using something new as an additional warning to drivers?
It felt similar to a very deep bass, right in the chest.

Any ideas on what this may have been?

Thanks!

NYPD runs them now, mostly for the hearing impaired walking across the streets or driving, they can now actually feel the cop cars coming even if they cant hear it.

If you can't hear, you shouldn't hold a license to operate a motor vehicle......

People with poor eyesight are fr more dangerous.

I know many people who cannot see at night time or wear glasses but cant see when driving.... Id much rather drive with someone who cant hear.
