I dont know if you know the answer to this question, but I have a 2000 motor being built right now. The longblock will be from a 200o but the intake, midplate etc is going to be from an 01. If i were to get a whipple i would need the 01-04 one right?

Will the snout brace be needed? IIRC the problem was fixed.

As far as I know you need the blower to match the intake, other than that a 5.4 2v is a 5.4 2v.

Any indication of when this will happen?
Or a better question would probably be...How many are left? I want this bad and don't want to miss out, but probably won't be able to know for sure until next week.
    Thanks,
    -Tyler

Running the "starter" tune that comes along with the kit, would you be running the factory boost levels? I don't necessarily want to up the boost on mine until later on.

They still have the kits available, it's impossible to say how long they'll last. They might have ten kits right this second but someone could order all ten for stock in ten minutes and they'd be gone.

    Not real likely but possible.

I did call the tech line and even on his end it doesn't specify boost levels but he was under the impression that it stayed at stock boost levels and the power gain is simply due to a much more efficient design.

The prices quoted in my first post are shipped prices unless you're outside the lower 48 states.

I've always got love for the Terminators :burnout:

I can do a black 2.3 for $3109.00 shipped and as usual California and anything outside the lower 48 don't count for the free shipping but I can ship anywhere.

OK, this may be a dumb question, but anyone know why the kit is only for a 04 3V 5.4L F-150? What would be different that the 04 kit wouldn't work on a 05 or newer?

They do have kits for the '05's but they aren't on special, It'd be $4625.00 for the 05-08 kit.

It's entirely possible that the '04 kit would fit the '05 and up with some modification but I don't know what the exact differences would be.

Could be the coolant crossover changed like it did on the Mustangs, I know for sure the tuning would be different so you wouldn't be able to run the FRPP tune that comes with the kit.

Could be more than that like on the Lightnings where the whole intake changed from 2000-2001.

Might be worth your time to try contacting Whipple to see what changed.
