hey when you had the front case back on were you able to turn the input shaft easily with your hand?

Digging up this thread again.

I have a damaged 26-spline shaft. If I replace it with a new 26-spline shaft, the need to change the shim should be minimal right?

When removing the input shaft once the front cover is off, does the shaft simply slide out or are there additional steps necessary to remove it?

I will attach a picture of the damaged shaft later this afternoon.

Can someone please give me a little more info on how to install the 26spline inoutnshaft ? Everything is off and when I install the shaft the cover doesn't want to close thanks !

So I found out I have the 26 spline with 29 teeth gear which is 2.97 vs the 31 which is 2.66.

I also noticed a few shims were used to eliminate end play.

Since I have no use for the 26 spline 31 teeth I'm selling it for $270 shipped if anyone is interested.
