So hit a limit on the 80s with E85 around 850rw. 5 years ago the only option would be IDs at an outrageous price. Well talking to tuners in both the Ford and Chevy world they say IDs are their bottom choice. At half the cost depending who you ask FIC, FID, or some bosch have been recommended.

So those running other than the IDs what do you got and how do you like them? I will need in the 1200cc to 1300cc range.

You can find used ID1300's for about $1100 or so. I am of the opinion if you need the big money high impedance injectors, it's time to start looking at a standalone so you can run Bosch 210's, which are about $500. The money rolled into that vs spending the big money on injectors is a much better investment

You can get the FIC 1200 under $1000 new and the FID 1300 under $900 new and many tuners like them better. I am looking at going to the Megasquirt PNP setup. I am wondering if this would negate the need for a standalone or should I still go stand alone.

Megasquirt pnp then you can go cheaper on the injectors. I'd hit up @MalcolmV8

that megasquirt pnp is what Im looking at. If you go over on modular fords in the 03/04 cobra section Ed has a lot of information about the capabilities of the system and it's freaking impressive. To me it is a standalone that just happens to plug into the factory harness. It supports both high and low impedance injectors.

I can feel my credit card shaking the more I read about that. I'm really considering it because I can swap in my stock ECU for smog tests.

I need to get some other shit straight and just leave the damned car alone right now lol. Unless my tuner says otherwise this WILL happen once we get into hot weather next year

Lol. I'm doing a little more digging. I think the trigger will be pulled soon. Especially since I'm about to swap blowers and fuel systems now would be the time for me.

Sorry for the hijack Godstang. I went with 1050X's because they seemed like a good choice. I was going to run Bosch's until I found out I had the wrong injectors.

As mentioned above you would not need a standalone with the MS3 PnP.
It is basically a standalone just plug and play and capable of running the factory gauges. I believe I read in the manual for it that you can run hi or low imp injectors with it so no worries there.

I am in the same boat. I am out of injectors and so I need to upgrade them but while I pull the blower off to upgrade do I do a bunch of other stuff... The MS Pnp is really speaking to me haha.

Thanks. So at that point I would be better off with Low imp injectors you think?

    Definitely!
The PnP has the built in injector driver. Low imp is so much cheaper too.

Sub'n. I'm in the same boat, 800 rw on my 80's. I just haven't justified $1500 injectors yet.

Stupid question: Can you use gauges such as the Aeroforce Interceptor with the MS3 PNP?
