You can't handle this beater... 96 Rolla, Bought it was 140k on it.. and 16pages of maintenance records!!! Shit never missed 1 oil change, and every 3k by a dealer!! 5 spd. 1.8L of shit your pants. No joke though, this thing is so freaking clean it's unreal. Paint is shiny as shit still, interior was perfect. Just lost a hubcap though. So I gotta get new ones.. AND 36mpg.. FTW

3.5k I think is what I paid when it was all said and done. But I was budgeting 750/month in fuel on my 2013 Superduty since I commute 100mi a day. So it's already paid for itself

Just picked this up for $3900, gotta love Craigslist! I have a guilty fetish with these cars, they are fun little go-carts. It's an '03 with 146k miles, clean title, engine and trans run great, minor cosmetic issues that I'm fixing.

Thanks! Yeah I've heard that sensor can be a problem, some cars have it some don't. The guy I bought this one from had it for 7 years, no recurrent issues like that fortunately. My last 350z (wife's actually) didn't have any issues either.

You bought a SRT4 for 3800 bucks? either the market has really dropped on those or you got a good deal that just needed a little fixing.

Had some issues.. Car wouldn't disengage the clutch hardly at all and was spitting over 5k. Kid I know was going to trade it in on a Cruze (isn't car savvy). Dealer was going to give him 3k for it.

He said if he could get it to shift they'd give him 3,800 so he called me. I was like 'Yeeaaah, I'll just give you the 3800 and save you the headache."

I bled the clutch lol. He drove it for a YEAR like that! Shifter bushings were shot lol. 2005 chock full of mods. Had 105k on it.

New cam angle sensor, a bunch of tlc and it freaking flys. 22psi and bottom 13s at our shit track at 105+

I'm more jealous of the guy with the 4k 350Z! The cheapest ive seen running was like high 8s and beat/auto.

The guy I bought it from was asking $5k, he also didn't know too much about cars in general and thought it was a Base. Turns out it's actually an Enthusiast since it has auto trans, TCS, and cruise control on the steering wheel. When you show up with a few friends called Benjamin, they do a lot of the talking for you!

I might as well post my beater/project to. I bought this so I could stop DD'ing the marauder which works great when the car runs. When it doesn't run I switch to driving the bronco.

1985 BMW 745i, brought to the US back in 1986 when it was owned by a German diplomat. I bought this car off a friend this year, who got it for free from some college friends back in the fall of 2012. Its a 3.5L turbo I6 making 252hp, ran a 15.7 @ MIR last fall. Once I can get it to hold together for 4 minutes I am going to throw a tial wastegate + rising rate fuel pressure regulator as well as a 3" turboback exhaust and crank up the boost from 6 to 12psi. I'm also planning on repainting it and changing the wheels. Its a very fun car when it works, handles great for its size and if you keep it in the powerband it moves good for something so old.

This car was actually on Jalopnik's NPOCP a while back to. I wrote up a whole story from the day my friend brought it home to the day I bought it this winter.
