I'm getting a new little girl. She's a female Dogo Argentino, to be a mate to my 2 y/o Male Dogo Argentino. I'm driving to TX to get her on the 8th of December. I bought breeding rights with her so I'm a very happy man.

Nice looking pup there. What is the back story on this Dogo breed? I saw it mentioned in another thread and I had never heard of a Dogo. Is it a hunting breed?

Yes, the breed was started in Argentina in the 1920's. They're the Argentinian Mastiff. The breed was started for hunting and taking down wild bore as well as taking down/killing Puma. There are records of single Dogo's killing an adult puma, while protecting the family, as well as recently a female Dogo protecting its owner and killing an adult brown bear, while only getting 13 stitches. They're bred to have a very high threshold for pain as well as being pure white, for visual purposes, while hunting.

My beautiful Lincoln sadly passed away on October 4 and his brother Louie was just pacing the house howling for hours. I had to get him another buddy, even though I was no where near ready for another dog from a mental standpoint. So here's Maverick, a 3 month old Boxer from the same breeder as I got my Lincoln from.

Beautiful new pup! Louie doesn’t look too pissed so that a good thing. Mine were bonded close but I was fortunate to be home 24/7 for my Dexter’s last month. Had a lump removed from his leg hoping to get more time from him and it aggravated the cancer I didn’t know about in his lungs. Was a shitty 1-2 punch. I hated coming home to not getting barked at then brought a toy they wouldn’t share

We picked up a new foster a couple days ago. This is Liam and he comes from the Pine Ridge reservation in South Dakota. He's around 5 years old and appears to possibly have some Bernese Mountain dog in him.
He's missing part of both ears and has a pretty good gash on his back leg that needs some TLC and time to heal. Other than that he gets along great with our GDs, Gunner and Gracie, and has a gentle, easy going personality.
We are looking forward to finding Liam a good forever home after he heals up.
