Stock short block on these cars hold up to 800-900+. Stand alone ECU options really were not a thing a few years ago. Now with MS3, A plug and play Holley for these cars you can make big power much much safer. Dual wide bands, soft rev limits, much better fuel and timing maps, flex fuel, true oil pressure sensors, it's a different world now.

"Nice car Mr. What is it?"

"It's a 03 Cobra Bobby"

I never have referred to my car or anyone else's car as a "stang" or "term" or even "terminator".

That's just me though lol
I don't like the "terminator" phrase. Especially when people start putting it all over the car. I'm probably one of few but I always reference mine as a mustang.

I think it was on mine in 7 different places that I went around removing when I first got it...

Come on now. Us old folks have to make sure we put Terminator everywhere possible and put the build number plaques on the shifter area and under the hood somewhere! If we don’t, we may forget what car we have!

I actually have Terminator in a couple spots(Rad Support) & emblem on trunk lid. Then that plaque by my shifter boot. I’m guilty of the Terminator add ons but will eventually get rid of the plaque from the previous owner. I like Terminator as long as it is not too overdone.

So I’m kinda at a crossroads with my car and I think I know what I’d like to do. Looking for some input from you guys, specifically those on e85 pushing the limit of the 2.3 whipple.

When I got my car it had a 2.3 whipple on it with a 3.00 upper tuned on 93 octane by Lidio. Car ran great, was violent on the hit and just super consistent. Made right at 600rwhp

My initial plan was to pulley down the 2.3 and go to E85 with a tune from Kevin Dunn.

One night while on market place I can across a great deal on a brand new gen V 3.0 whipple locally in the box. I grabbed it, sold the 2.3 and put the 3.0 on with a 3.00 upper / stock lower. Put the car on e85 and had it tuned by Kevin. Car sees around 24lbs of boost with that pulley combo.

Since I’ve done that, it just hasn’t been as fun. I have had this combo for a year now. It’s lazy down low, but up top it pulls like a freight train. To add to the fun I’m dealing with some belt slip now and I’m dropping from 24lbs to around 18 on the top end.

I am changing to a 3.25 upper and a 2lb lower with the whipple adjustable idler and a roush tensioner this week. If the lower pulley doesn’t wake the car up I’m really considering selling this blower and going back to a 2.3. Beside the car being lazy, I’m dealing with hanging throttle and random stalling when I initially start the car thanks to the massive 132mm throttle body.

For you guys with 2.3 whipples, how do you like the blower with higher boost 22-24lbs on e85? Ultimately I’d like to make 700-750rwhp. Is that even achievable on the 2.3?

Car hasn’t been on the dyno with this set up but everyone I know with this combo is making low 800-820rwhp. I’d happily go back to the 700s for a better driving experience and more fun down low.

What’s up bro. Just read the whole thread interesting haha. I have a 2.3 whipple now on 93 at around 18 pounds. Car made 627 rear. I’ve been also thinking of going with a bigger blower . But decided to do e85 with long tubes and hopefully pulley down and get around 22 pounds. Will definitely let you know how it runs once done. As for now car runs great just want a little more power

Lol. Yup, do it for us old folks. But tastefully.

'Terminator' across the tint band along the top of your windshield is probably pure blowholing. The same thing discreetly inscribed onto your rad support where I would never have known had I not begged to see what's under the hood is pure artwork.

I believe I read from a member here their gen 3 2.3 whipple was good for about 30-40+ hp across the board over the gen 2. But 30-40 hp can be chalked up to quite a bit of variables.

I have also heard the same for getting the gen 2 2.3 TVS ported to what would be their old R spec case for the shelbys. Can’t confirm much as I am a poor.

I used to love seeing folks with those windshield banners, haha. Freakin Corvette owners were the worst. They would pull into the meets, get out their jackets, and straight assert dominance. All other males knew they were now betas and their girls were just on the menu for the true alphas of the gathering.

Got the 3.50 upper / 2lb lower installed with the new roush tensioner. Waiting for the whipple idler and I can do some datalogging.

Hoping to be around 23lbs with this pulley combo. I have a 3.25 and 3.375 on deck if needed.

Yep it’s great. I’ve got a 170 tstat. Deleted the bypass hose and lower thermostat housing. Way cleaner.
