Colossal Cruise-In
Late Model Restoration hosts over 500 Fords at Baylor University’s stadium

The Late Model Restoration team is made up of true enthusiasts. They pride themselves being enthusiasts selling to enthusiasts. When it comes to automotive excitement, there is an urge to share it with others and that’s what LMR recently did by hosting a cruise-in at McLane Stadium on the campus of Baylor University in Waco, Texas.

In addition to staking out a space in the stadium parking lot, the LMR team put together a lot of extras for attendees, including food trucks, music and a selection of vendors, including Diode Dynamics, Nitrous Outlet and SCT Performance. The company also provided a number of giveaways from goody bags and LMR swag to big-ticket items like SVE wheels and $2,500 in LMR gift cards.

Despite spotty weather leading up to the event date on May 14 and rain on the morning of the show, the hardcore Mustang and Lightning fans showed up in droves. For a recap of this year’s festivities, which brought some of that Mustang Week flavor to Texas, check out this video recap…

“This year’s LMR Texas Cruise-In was a huge success, amassing over 500+ cars for a powerful show of enthusiasm for the late model Mustang and Ford Lightning market!” says the company. “Rows upon rows of tricked out ponies, weekend warriors & custom builds gave rise to a massive crowd of Mustang owners, friends and family at the iconic home of Baylor Bear football.”

Obviously this year’s event was a big success. As a result LMR is already eyeballing another cruise-in for next year, so stay tuned.

Despite a wet start to the day Late Model Restoration pulled in over 500 Fords to a cruise-in at the Baylor University football stadium.

The LMR cruise-in attracted a wide variety of Blue Oval hardware, but it’s impossible to not to take notice of a classic like this Terminator. When it’s packing a Whipple supercharger under the hood you know it has the performance to back up its timeless good looks, and it does. Tony Messina’s Terminator puts down 600 horsepower and 597 lb-ft of torque to the wheels.

Not only did the LMR team attend the cruise-in, but they brought along a few of the company’s vendors—Diode Dynamics, Nitrous Outlet and SCT Performance—to show their wares to attendees.

While the Mustang is LMR’s main horse, the company also serves owners of the Ford Lightning and some nice examples of SVT’s supercharged pickup appeared in Waco, including this white version.

From vintage Foxes to modern classics, LMR offers parts for all Mustang since the Fox and all those eras were represented at the cruise-in.

LMR sweetened the pot for attendees by giving away an SCT X4 tuner, a Diode Dynamics gift card, a JLT Performance cold air intake, LMR gift cards, a Pypes exhaust , SVE wheels and a TMI Products upholstery kit to lucky winners of rolling giveaways throughout the event.

We love Foxes, especially when the owners mod them creatively. Juaquin Rodriquez picked this 1985 Mustang up for $600. Since then he’s been busy converting it into a drool-worthy project. Under the hood it sports a Fitech EFI-controlled 5.0-liter and a five-speed manual trans. What really sets it off is the fusion of the four-eye fascia with a Terminator lower fascia, which took him two months to create.

It was definitely a great time out there and worth the long rainy drive home.

Thx for posting not only the pick of my silver fox coupe (foxrod), but some of my car club members behind me as well.
