Not sure where this would go, but here goes. I'm curious if anyone on here has either been to the Bonneville salt flats as a spectator or as a driver. Planning on building a car to run out there. Got a rule book for out there and MAN is it a lot if rules and regs!! I kno the car needs to be safe but it's so much that it's confusing and seems like some rules overlap. I plan to go out there and walk around and watch, talk to people and take notes. If anyone has been there, tips and info would definitely be appreciated!!

I'd recommend doing something like the Texas Mile or US Mile first, just to get a feel for everything before doing Bonneville since you are in LA.

True, I've definitely considered that for sure since the flats are a loooonngg ways away. I wonder how similar the mile runs are in comparison to Bonneville as far as rules and regs?
