L Shudders on Acceleration

Howdy, guys.

Today my L started to shudder when I'd get on it. It would go like stink then start shaking violently. Also, if I'm cruising around 40 mph and stab the gas to pick up the pace, it shudders. Doesn't happen under normal, calm driving.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

What year and mods? Mileage? Maintenance?

Probably a bad spark plug/COP or ruptured fuel line in the tank. Start by checking fuel pressure.

Its a bone stock 2001 with about 52k miles. Very lovingly maintained.

sounds like a plug/COP

start by putting in some new plugs and make sure they are gapped correctly. If your truck hasn't had new plugs yet at 52k miles, I would do it anyway.

Good advice so far.

I am sure you know but you can check the COP's by unplugging them one at a time while the truck is running. If you unplug one and the engine idle doesn't change then its probably bad.

I just went through this and found it to be a bad COP.

If you can get a hold of a diablo tuner or an SCT tuner it'll tell you exactly which Piston is misfiring. This happened to me and it turned out to be a broken Spark plug.

Changed plugs and she drives fine..
