just checking to see if there is anything I can do to help this blower perform in hot Texas temps. There isn't much information on the bowtie side of forums other than it runs hot. I upgraded the heat exchanger to the frozen boost type 101, and ran the entire blower coolant system with -12 AN hose. when I got to the intercooler, I found a major restriction and modified the coolant blocks to accept -12an. the reserve tank is around 5 gallons in the back seat of the car.

for the front of the blower, I drilled and tapped the water pump on the pressure and vacuum sides and plumbed the front to the water pump using -6 AN instead of the maze of ugly bull crap that kenne bell was recommending to do. You can read a little more about my method of doing this in this link.
coolant flow direction - PerformanceTrucks.net Forums

since I'm running Dominator EFI, I went with their meth injector that I can run as a % of total injector flow. I plan to run a 50/50 meth/water solution. I put the injector solenoid driver behind the throttle body, but wasn't sure if it would work better on the back side of the intake directly behind the rotors.

this 3.6 is sitting on top of a LS 408 stroker with a ported LS3 top end and fully bolted. in a back half 69 Camaro with vintage air/heat. I have the 16lb pulley on at the moment. any suggestions.

yep, meth is your answer, straight into the intake mani ...either that or go straight e85 setup (preferred)

it's a street car, so 93 pump and meth injection is the only avenue I'm willing to take. the fuel system is capable of e85, so if the fuel ever becomes more readily available I may make the jump. I'm not willing to plan a cruise based on gas station locations.

do you think the meth injection is best where it's currently located, or would I be better off putting it on the back of the blower shooting closer to the rotors. here is where I have it now.

I was thinking about relocating to one of the plugged ports on the back of the blower.

Beautiful car. How hot is it running? When are you seeing a problem? What boost and pulley? Are you running a heat exchanger with fans?

thank you. i'm starting to hate the car LOL. basically the only thing factory on the car is the front doors, fenders and hood. so nothing is a quick fix. always 2 steps forward 1 step back.
thanks for the idea. i looked inside of my inlet and aparrently the camaro inlet doesnt have the same issues that the mustang inlet has. mine is wide open and smooth, but i do see that it gets pinched down pretty hard at back. nothing i can really do there. I wish i could figure out a way to get a carburetor running on this thing.
I havent driven it yet. just being proactive in the build so i dont have to redo it later. 10 gallon reserve, rule 2000, -12 an lines, type 101 exchanger and meth. Not many camaros running this blower so i didnt know if there were any tips or tricks with these things that i cannot find on the bowtie side.

I'll probably eventually sell off the blower and go the turbo route, but i have this now so lets see what it can do :)

First off beautiful car! I love it!

Some things to think about. Meth will only work post blower (lower intake) on a PD blower. Remember the air comes in to the blower. Gets compressed, heats up and then goes into the engine and mixes with fuel and burns. When you spray preblower the air still gets compressed and still gets majorly heated up and then enters the engine. For the most part all the cooling from the meth is cancelled out. If you spray post blower (lower intake) AFTER the air is compressed than you are sending cooler air into the engine.

Also how many intercoolers are you running? What size intercoolers? What temperatures are you seeing?

the frozen boost heat exchanger is 26"X7X3.5

then whatever intercooler that came inside of the 3.6 blower. I'm not sure if its the newer big gun, or the older version. I don't plan to open the blower to find out because kenne bell is asking a ridiculous price for the big gun upgrade.

Sadly it is not a ridiculous price. The Ford piece is $950 so it is only $50 more for a better unit. Is the unit actually running hot or are you just looking for the best setup out there? Is it the intercooler liquid running hot or the engine running hot? It looks like you have everything covered and the only thing I think you could maybe improve on, depending who you ask, is if you installed a Killer Chiller type setup but dont think you would need that with a 5 gallon tank.

Just trying to get ahead of the issue. Its a 10 gallon tank.

With a tank this big, should i run coolant directly to the intercooler, then to the exchanger and back to the tank, or am i better off sticking with the traditional tank>exchanger>intercooler>tank?

To make more room for the 6 speed wiper conversion and kenne bell. if I ever make the change over to turbo, I'll put hydroboost on it.

I think this is one of the thinks people will argue on. Do you cool it before going into the blower Intercooler or cool it before going into the tank. I would think you would want to cool it before hitting the Intercooler for best results but I dont have any data to back this up.

with a small reserve tank, I see cooling before it goes to the intercooler....with a reserve this large I could see sending it straight to the intercooler, then cooling it with the exchanger before going back to the tank.

and if I ever decide to put ice in the tank, I wouldn't want to heat the water up with the exchanger before sending it to the intercooler. I'll just have to do some testing once the bugs are worked. I was hoping someone else already did the experiment and had an answer.

i'm running roughly 50* over ambient at cruise without ever going into boost. Thinking about putting the blower system under vacuum to see if i might have an air pocket somewhere. way too hot! on a 70* day, it is cruising between 120-130. WTF.
