The driver should have enhanced his calm, practiced patience, and maintained a safe distance from the bike rider and stay behind him all the way to wherever the bike rider stopped. This would allow the driver’s heart rate to slow and help with good sight alignment and prevent damage to his vehicle while administering corrective action.
