Well after 20 years my time has come. Had a great ceremony, reception and dinner yesterday. My command went over the top and chipped in and bought me a Mossberg 590 9 shot shotgun and built a display for it. Even had the gun seracoated in Navy Blue. My Shadow box came out great as well and my wife framed a picture I took of the pineapple fountain here in Charleston, SC. Had a lot of family drive 9 hours from west Florida to spend the day with us. 2nd chapter....here I come.

damn Navy goes all out for retirement. Appreciate the long service you dedicated to this country.

If you don't mind my asking...what rank/grade did you retire at? I could never quite remember ranks from the navy. I just salute them all hahaha

Congrats man! I'm at 25yrs of Naval service now and have been thinking of punching out. 30 is just around the corner so we will see. That decision will have a lot to do with the location of my next/last set of orders. Take care, take it easy and good luck to you and your family.

That's awesome. Congrats on the retirement.

What's next? lol

Thank You all very much!

Next is finishing my BA full time while looking for a good job. If I find a good job I'll take it and go back to part time. Luckily, I have a wife who has a good education and good job that helps with the bills that can allow me the opportunity to stay in school. I will use my GI Bill to draw BAH and have my retirement to help.
