Your post brought back memories of my first drive after doing a pulley/tune mod. I met Rick from Amazon Tuning at Maple Grove in PA, and before the racing started he installed everything under his canopy. Reichart Racing 2.90 upper and 4-piece idler set, and a tune. I had just installed an Accufab TB, Steeda intake, catback and X-pipe. It took about an hour for the install and tune, and then I was given the key to take it for a test drive. Prior to the pulley and tune, I was making around 385rwhp and 370rwtq. After the pulley and tune, the numbers jumped to 456rwhp and 470rwtq. So it shouldn't be surprising that I was silly happy. I remember driving to Hershey after the race event and not wanting to park the car. It was that much fun. Those mods, by the way, were the norm back in 2003-2004. Ported blowers hadn't yet been born. My personal experience with the "basic" motor mods is why I always recommend them to new owners with factory/near factory Cobras. Just breathe and go for it. And they're very safe mods.
