I've been waiting three months for this stupid car to get here, and according to MB, it's arrived at the vehicle processing center somewhere in Georgia or Alabama today, so should be put on the truck to Texas by Friday. I wish I could've gotten the 350 engine, but the only car Mercedes makes for the US with a manual is the SLK250. So.... I figured since I have to special order it anyways, I might as well make it awesome and exactly how I want. Here's the build sheet with all the options: Mine is the only 2014 SLK with a manual transmission in the US, to my knowledge. The Dynamic Handling Package is pretty sick, and I'm not sure if anyone has even ordered it on the car (mayyybe the 350, but probably not the 250). It's got torque vectoring brake system, electronically-variable suspension, and then "direct steer" which I don't really care about. I plan on auto-crossing it with the SCCA like I used to with my 2006 C-class. I got a lot of weird looks because I was the only MB there, which is fine lol. Now- it's time to show up all the Miatas :coolman: haha well, at least try. Never driven such a small car so I'll have to get used to it. Once it comes in, I'm getting the darkest legal tint I can, powder coating the wheels a two-tone glossy black and machined finish, and then buying this: Matte Aluminum Plasti Dip to go over all the chrome trim, emblems and door pieces. All black and matte silver is what I'm going for. I'm really excited, and will definitely post pics when it comes in. It's such a fun car to drive, even with the automatic, so I can't wait to drive it with stick! Just one more week......
