Wow looks like you got an updated kit. That looks like a gen 3 whipple 2.9. Lucky. How much did it cost?

I ordered the CARB compliant kit from Team Beefcake Racing. It was shipped directly to me from Whipple.

I’d rather not say how much I paid lol.
No tax (Whipple is in CA) and free shipping. It was a little cheaper than all of the other big name guys I checked.
*Some of the other big name guys had no idea if their kits were Gen2 or Gen3 and if their kits were even CARB compliant..

You're going to make some big power with the Gen3 whipple, are you running pump gas or E85

I’d say up towards 650. Easily on 93.

Most Cobras do right around 600 on 91 on the older gen 2.9 @15/16 psi.

Your engine is bigger and these are more efficient.

In Ca it will be 91 octane and he is using the Carb legal ford procal tune. So im guessing that it will be in the 625-650hp range. Hopefully the Op will get it on a dyno sometime to see what it actually makes being a gen 3 and a procal tune.

G3 Whipple 2.9 @ 16lbs.
I’m assuming I should be making around 625-650whp?

All else stock, including exhaust.

My 07 with a ported Trinity and stock headers/cats made 660rwhp on 91.

Only thing holding you back with that kit would be the conservative FRPP tune, depending on what a dyno shows.

I’ll throw it on a DYNO in about 2 weeks.
I’ll post the results ASAP!
