Alright here's the deal, I've got a 00L with the engine and tranny having been replaced. They now have about 7k miles on the combo. The first time I took it to the track, I ran a 14:22 with minimal rearend slippage ( I was running slicks) The second time I took it, I had installed Caltraks traction bars, with the slicks and ran an Identical 14:22 with no slippage. This last weekend I ran again after instaling my FTVB and ran a 14:03. I know that out of the box I'll get beat by the 01 and up, but you'd think I'd be running better times. Should I be worried, or should I just keep adding parts.

I'm located in central texas, and there is a dyno about two hours away, should I realy consider this? Or should I run it here in Florida this weekend? (I'm on vacation)

If there's one close by go ahead and make a couple of pulls. That way you'll have your power #'s and the a/f #'s. This will greatly help to figure out if you have a problem.

Also, what are yor 60 foot times?

I've got my 60's down to 2.01-2.03 constant believe it or not. I'm going to see if there is a 1/4 track here in Jacksonville, I know there is an 1/8th.

I run 14.6's with my stock 01, here in Hawaii. I don't think temp accounts for that, so I'm hoping it's me, with my 2.4x 60' times.

If my L is sick, too... *sigh*

1/4 mph---------95.44

Slicks, Tractionbars, FTVB (average of 3 runs one night)

React.--------------.671
60'----------------2.078
330'---------------5.876
1/8 e/t------------9.055

How many miles does your truck have and have you changed the spark plugs. I have a 2000 Lightning with 65,000 and changed to TR-6's and woke up my truck!!!!! Def. get the plugs checked if it has a lot of miles....

the truck itself has 75k but the engine and tranny have about 7k, and after reading the "sparkplug blowout" post today i checked my plugs out of curiousity and they are fine. (oh, don't laugh, but it took me about 10 minutes to find them)

Your MPH at both the 1/8th and 1/4 marks is about 2mph off where it should be, IMHO.

MPH is a better indicator of what's going on with your truck than ET is.

I'm in killeen, but i run at Little river in Temple, I've been going there about every other weekend. If I get three passes in, I dont go untill I add another part which is about every two weeks.
I know that everybody says their track is rough, but from what everybody says, if I go to a different track I can automaticaly deduct about 3 tenths. Who knows how true this is.

I live in North Carolina and just ran mine at the track. It is bone stock and the temps were about 88-90 degrees today. I know it is an '03 , but you just said you got your engine replaced. Here is my times to compare to:

0.5205---reaction time
2.0917---60'
5.8209---330'
8.8763---1/8ET
80.12---1/8MPH
11.5372---1000'ET
NONE---MPH
13.775---1/4ET
99.90---1/4MPH

almost 100MPH:mj:

My '00 L ran 13.7's stock and my '02 L went 13.4's stock in good weather on radials (20"). I'd agree that a trip to the dyno is worth your $. I'm sure a good dyno shop could help you determine if there's a problem.
