[QUOTE="mustangmanjeff, post: 10887483, member: 29948"] WRONG!:bash::bash: Do your research I use my car for example , my car with my last setup on my 5.0 306 h/c/i on aggresive 93 octane tune on a nice day made over 330rwhp and a race tune made 361rwhp. My current setup has lower compression but larger cam thats 224/232 274/282 .555 / .565 lift even on a "safe tune" with blower pistons with lower compression on hott day with regular 93 octane tune is good for 300-320rwhp. I havent had time or money to tune it yet, but it made close to 290rwhp letting off @ 5,000 rpms with problems with no new tune and the cam is good to 6,500 rpm's for peak power so do your math another 1,500 rpm's and fix problems with a tune on a nice day would only inflate them numbers alot. so that would make 300+rwhp all day, do your research thats without a stroker stock block 5.0 only bored .30 over 306. FTI has made up to as much as 380rwhp on a n/a 5.0 306 c.i setup. and around 450rwhp on a 331 c.i. Now if your talking about your regular small average stock / low compression stock 5.0 motor with basic stage 1 or ford racing B or e cam h/c/i setup / gt40 heads then yeah 270-300rwhp is the norm because those cams are like .480-.490 lift cams. stock is .444 My car with stock motor with just basic trickflow heads and intake with crappy ford racing cam on a hot day about 5 years back put down 273rwhp untuned and over 300rwhp even on that small setup on pump gas on hott summer day.
